Encountering the Shadow-Self

… and our personal and collective responsibility and integration

The shadow is not what is evil in us, it is what remains unseen.

What happens when we stop looking away?

In a time when global events expose uncomfortable truths, from power, corruption, and secrecy to the darker impulses within institutions and individuals, the real question is no longer whether shadow exists, but how we relate to it. This is when we are confronted not only with the shadow of society, but also with our own.

Carl Jung described the shadow as the hidden part of the psyche: the impulses, fears, desires, and contradictions we push out of awareness in order to maintain the image we have of ourselves. Yet what we refuse to see within does not simply disappear. It returns through projection, onto other people, institutions, and events unfolding in the world around us.

Rather than approaching shadow work as abstract spirituality, this experience focuses on practical awareness, by recognizing projection, facing uncomfortable truths, and understanding how denial, complicity, and silence shape the world we live in.

Further, we will examine how personal and collective shadow dynamics shape perception, judgment, and responsibility.

At this moment in history, in a world increasingly shaped by unconscious forces, the willingness to encounter one’s own shadow and within our systems, may be one of the most important steps on any authentic path and personal development.

This workshop is for the truly courageous!
